''NFL Live'' is a National Football League highlight and analysis show that airs Tuesday thru Saturday on ESPN as part of '' The Trifecta '' at 12pm ET and 12am ET and occationally following the 6pm ET edition of '' SportsCenter ''. It is the only football related program that airs five days a week. The original name of the show was ''NFL 2Night'', but they changed the name to ''NFL Live'' after NBC , whose pregame and halftime report was called ''NFL Live'', lost its rights to the NFL in 1998 to CBS . Starting in the 2005 season, ''NFL Live'' started being presented in high- definition on ESPN HD . The format of the show is that it is a host, which is usually Trey Wingo , along with two NFL analyst and usually are not the same allthe time. The show provides up to the minutes breaking news from ESPN Insiders such as John Clayton and Chris Mortensen , as well as analysis breaking down every game of the following week in the NFL . Reporters from the site of games that deliver reports are Ed Werder and Sal Paolantonio anmong others. During the week following up to the Super Bowl , known as ''Super Week'', the show appears live from the site of the Super Bowl all week long.
