Moorea Malatt is an Indie Folk musician. She says she was first inspired to become a Singer-songwriter after she heard Nanci Griffith . Malatt also lists Dar Williams as one of her major influences. She describes her fanbase as "folkies, hipsters, and midwestern high schoolers". Although Moorea was raised Jewish , she currently practices Buddhism . Malatt identifies as Bisexual , she announced her engagement (to a man) on her Blog . The engagement has since been broken off.
