It is more commonly known as '''Ezeiza Airport''' because it is located in the locality of ''Ezeiza'' in Buenos Aires province, about 35 km (40 minutes' drive) from the centre of Buenos Aires city. It is also the hub of international routes of Aerolíneas Argentinas .
The airport, located at coordinates , is named after general and politician Minister Juan Pistarini (1882-1956).
