Mike Carey




Mike Carey is the writer of the Eisner Award nominated '' imprint.

He was born in Liverpool, England in 1959 and earned a degree at Oxford. He spent fifteen years teaching before moving on to writing comics in earnest. He lives in London, England.

After a series of one off jobs for independent comics companies, including a bio-comic of Ozzy Osbourne and a fantasy for Pantera he worked for 2000AD , where he created original series ''Th1rt3en'' and ''Carver Hale''.

He is currently working on the Felix Castor series of novels, with the first one, called "The Devil You Know", published in April 2006. The second one, "Vicious Circle", is scheduled to be published in late 2006.

He was recently announced as the writer of the so-called “Adjectiveless” '' X-Men '' title, working with artist Chris Bachalo , for Marvel Comics . He also has a forthcoming Vertigo mini-series called Faker with art by Jock (qv The Losers ) and a second Graphic Novel with John Bolton for the same imprint.

He has spoken in several interviews of a film project called "Frost Flowers" (see external links below).
