It was incorporated in 1909 and located approximately at the centre of the Annapolis Valley . From a transportation perspective, Middleton is at the junction of Highway 101 (which connects Halifax to Yarmouth via the Annapolis Valley) and Highway 10 (which connects Middleton to Bridgewater and Lunenburg ) Founded by New England and Loyalist settlers it is a local service centre for surrounding agricultural areas. It is also heavily influenced by CFB Greenwood in nearby Kings County . Middleton is home to Middleton Regional High School . In the summer it hosts Heart Of The Valley Days . EXTERNAL LINKS
