Sir Michael Hopkins CBE (b. May 5 1935 ) is a British Architect . His buildings include the extension to Glyndebourne Opera House, the Jubilee Campus of the University Of Nottingham , the Mound Stand at Lord's Cricket Ground , accommodation for British Members Of Parliament at Portcullis House , extension to the Manchester City Art Gallery and the new building for the Wellcome Trust . Along with his wife, also an architect, he received the 1994 Royal Gold Medal for Architecture.
