Beinhorn started his professional career as a musician, playing Keyboard s in Bill Laswell 's Material during the 1980's. He got a chance to work with Herbie Hancock , producing Hancock's '' Future Shock '' album, which contained the massive hit single " Rockit " ( Billboard #1), regarded one of Hip Hop 's seminal hits {Link without Title} . Looking for a better way to capture low frequencies during the recording process, Beinhorn helped develop the Ultra Analog Recording format. This process utilizes two inch Magnetic Tape , running at 7.5 inches per sec (21.5 cm. per sec). Michael Beinhorn has since produced a diverse selection of musicians including Korn , Soundgarden , Soul Asylum , Red Hot Chili Peppers , Raging Slab , Ozzy Osbourne , Social Distortion and The Golden Palominos . Beinhorn is currently producing Black Label Society's 2006 release (on Roadrunner Records ), "Shot To Hell". EXTERNAL LINKS
