The Maine Turnpike runs from Kittery to Augusta and is a toll road for all of its length except for a short section in Kittery and York . As of January 2004, it is signed entirely as Interstate 95 . Flat-fee tolls are paid upon entering the turnpike and there are also barrier tolls in York, New Gloucester , and Gardiner . As of February 1 2005 , the former Transpass Electronic Toll Collection system has been discontinued and the turnpike joined the E-ZPass network. |
