Schellenbach and Cunniff met while Schellenbach was drummer for the Beastie Boys whom Cunniff was interviewing for her Zine .

Trimble and Cunniff released a side project under the name Kostars in 1996 . Trimble left Luscious Jackson after the group's second full-length album, Fever In Fever Out.

Vivian Trimble and Josephine Wiggs (formerly of The Breeders ) released an album under the name Dusty Trails in 2000.

The band was also featured on the Nickelodeon TV series "The Adventures of Pete and Pete" in the episode titled "Dance Fever" as the band that plays at Little Pete's first junior high dance.
