Information About

Ludlow Railway Station

Trains travelling to or from the north of the station pass through the short Ludlow Tunnel, which curves round.

There is approximately an hourly service in each direction (Monday to Saturday) on the Welsh Marches Line, although not all trains call at Ludlow. There are connections available at Crewe and Manchester for the north of England, at Shrewsbury for Birmingham and the Midlands, at Newport for London and the south of England and at Cardiff Central for South Wales. In addition, there are daily direct rail services to Ludlow from many towns and cities, including Swansea , Bristol , Exeter , Penzance , Wrexham , Chester , Holyhead and North Wales.

The two platform station is located in Station Drive and is about a ten minute walk (0.3 Miles ) from the town centre. Facilities include a staffed ticket office, light refreshments, car parking, weatherproof platform shelters, seating and an Accessible Adapted toilet. The station is served by a bus route.

There is level access into the Booking Office, and the northbound platform. On the southbound side, there is a ramp from Quarry Gardens to the platform.
