This is a list of legislatures by country, whether Parliamentary or Congressional , that act as a plenary general Assembly of Representative s with the power to Legislate . All countries included in the List Of Countries will be included. NOTES # In addition to their unicameral national parliaments, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama and also return directly elected deputies to the supranational Central American Parliament . They have since been joined by the Dominican Republic, following its accession to the Parliament in February 2004 . # In addition to their national parliaments, the nations of the European Union also return directly elected members to the supranational European Parliament . The most recent elections were held in June 2004 .
