1854 as the Ashmun Institute, it was renamed Lincoln University in
1866 to honor President
Abraham Lincoln . It currently provides undergraduate and graduate coursework for approximately 2,000 students. Lincoln University is the oldest
HBCU founded in the United States for the purpose of providing post secondary education to students of African descent. Today, Lincoln University accepts students of every
