gnuLinEx, or '''LinEx''', is a Linux Distribution based on Debian , with GNOME as desktop. gnuLinEx is an initiative of the regional government of Extremadura , Spain . It is intended to be used in all schools in Extremadura, as well as in official institutions. It is actively promoted for business and home use as well. gnuLinEx is not the GNU project's distribution of choice, since like Debian, it includes non-free software (contrary to some rumours).
