Limehouse station is a railway station located in Limehouse district of east London . The station is in Travelcard Zone 2 and is served by Docklands Light Railway (DLR) services and by National Rail services operated by C2c out of Fenchurch Street station.
According to train operators C2c , "Limehouse is a bustling commuter station in the rush hour with passengers changing onto the Docklands Light Railway. At quieter times of day, it's an ideal stop-off point for Limehouse Basin and Thames-side walks through London's Docklands". {Link without Title} The station was opened in 1841 as part of the London And Blackwall Railway . The area used to be known as Ratcliffe , whilst the station has been previously known as Stepney Junction and later '''Stepney East''' station. A station some distance to the east on the London and Blackwall railway had previously been called Limehouse. The station lies to the west of Limehouse Basin , recently redeveloped as a marina and residential complex, and the Regent's Canal .
