Life on Forbez is a Sci-fi Comedy Webcomic created by Clarence D. Cuasay (aka CDC). It was launched on August 3 , 2000 and while it has changed its web address several times it is now located on Comic Genesis . It takes place on the Planet Forbez, home to numerous intelligent alien species. THE CHARACTERS Par Par is the sane main character of this series. His mother is Nok, the whereabouts of his father are unknown. Par is of the species Nord, one that is generally looked down on in the universe. First appearance 2000-08-03 {Link without Title} Nok Nok is the single mother of Par, slightly unhinged and with little regard of consequences. She and Par come under the protection of their neighbor Omni, which leads to even stranger consequences for her actions. While her planet is a bureaucratic and conformist society, she is a non-conformist. First appearance 2000-08-03 {Link without Title} Aomi She is a young Nord, one of the very few Nords on Forbez prior to the arrival of Par and Nok. Mikey He is a young Omni who is nicknamed "Mikey" by Par to tell him apart from all of the other Omnis. He is an acquaintance of Par in spite of Omni's usual contempt of other species, or "inferiors" as they call them. First appearance 2000-08-20 {Link without Title} Bane A hot tempered young but nevertheless married Nomadite, forced to tend to a plant, a task he hates. First appearance 2000-09-11 {Link without Title} Romanna Wife of Bane, equally young but more conventional. First appearance 2000-09-11 {Link without Title} THE ARTWORK The artwork is usually simple line art of even weight with normally plain background. Over the years the artwork changed noticeably, particularly in the use of finer, cleaner lines and more details, above all in the background. Shading and detail come and go depending on the time constraints of the artist. Some older work that was originally lacking detail gets revised and shaded at future dates. THE FEEL The series consists of single pages with, normally, a few panels leading to a single punchline. There is an overarching story that also gives the strip a development and continuity. Humor varies widely, including bizarre and unsubtle, and includes a few running gags such as Omnis tending to call dispatch for the Kylian Terminator to dispose of Par or Bane beating people with his plant.
