In what has become known as the New Year Murders , Shakespeare and Ellis had been standing outside a hair salon in Aston , Birmingham during the early hours of the morning, following a party. Four men – Michael Gregory , Rodrigo Simms , Marcus Ellis (the half brother of Charlene Ellis), and Nathan Martin - were all found guilty of the murders at Leicester Crown Court in March 2005 . |
