Dalarna province, administratively in
Dalarna County . Its seat is in Leksand with 5,700 inhabitants, situated at .
Other towns are
Insjön ,
Siljansnäs ,
Tällberg and
Djura . Also significant, half of the municipal population live in one of 94 villages.
Geographically the municipality is located alongside the Dalälven, (''
Dalecarlia River ''), and the town is at the southern shore of lake
Siljan .
