Lee Raymond Terry (born January 29 1962 ), American politician, has been a Republican member of the United States House Of Representatives since 1999 , representing the Omaha -area Second Congressional District . Born in Omaha, Nebraska , he attended the University Of Nebraska-Lincoln and Creighton University , graduating with a degree in Law . He was a member of the Omaha City Council from 1991 - 1998 , and served for two years as president of the city council. In the House, he is a member of the Energy And Commerce Committee .
