Ian Beale and they eventually married. When Ian went to prostitute
Janine Evans for
Sex , Laura poured boiling water on her, starting a long feud between them. After a party, Laura fell pregnant but only remembered zipping up
Garry Hobbs 's zip. Ian had had a secret
Vasectomy so it was thought that Garry had fathered her baby,
Bobby . Laura had a fight with Janine in April 2004, and later that night she tripped on a toy and fell down the stairs at Kenwyn House and died instantly. Janine was with
Pat Evans , Laura's close friend, when Laura died but Pat refused to give her an alibi after she had discovered Janine killed
Pat's stepson
Barry Evans . Janine was arrested and charged for Laura's death, and stood trial in
December 2005 , but was found not guilty. After Laura died, Ian discovered from blood tests that Bobby was his son, and that his vasectomy was not successful.
