King of Donair, (KOD), is a restaurant founded in the early 1970's in Halifax, Nova Scotia . The first store was on Quinpool Road and serviced a broad clientel into the early morning hours when at the time only a limited number of eating establishments were open. KOD serves a wide range of food including the Donair , the super donair, pizza (including donair pizza), and the Taco Sub . The "super" is a particularly potent mixture of donair meat, sweet donair sauce (condensed milk, sugar, and vinegar), with fresh onions and tomatoes. Today, KOD is still thriving at a variety of locations throughout Halifax and has been prominently featured in a number of episodes of the hit TV series Trailer Park Boys .
