The King George Square Busway Station is to be constructed underneath King George Square , on the lower two levels of the car park. It will form part of the Inner Northern busway in Brisbane , where it will connect the Roma Street end of the Inner Northern busway with the Queen Street Bus Station . At present, it would be within Zone 1 of the TransLink integrated Public Transport system. Construction of the King George Square Busway Station will commence in early 2006, with the busway station expected to be operational by late 2007. A bus tunnel is to be constructed under Albert Street for the busway, to link the King George Square Busway Station with the Queen Street Bus Station .
