In 1982, he moved to TVS where he was their senior News & Current Affairs presenter when they took up the ITV franchise for the south and southeast of England.

He is Professor of Business Communications at Southampton University . Since July 2000, he has written ''Speaking Out'', a regular monthly column for ''Management Today'' where he reviews speeches by Captains Of Industry and awards them either a Foot in Mouth or Silver Tongue. His tenth book – ''Presenting to Win'' – a guide for finance and business professionals – was published on 1st January 2000, the first book of the new millennium. His latest book ''Managing Communications in a Crisis'' was published in February 2004.

He is an International Ambassador for the Prince’s Trust , and in 1997 was a member of the Advisory Committee of the Office For National Statistics .

As Chairman of the Wessex Children’s Hospice Trust from 1992 to 1997, the Trust exceeded its target to raise £5m to build, equip and run the first children’s respite care hospice in central Southern England. He was appointed a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO) in the 1997 Queen’s Birthday Honours and in March 1998 he was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant (DL) of Hampshire. In August 2002, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).

Today he runs his own business, ''The Aziz Corporation''.
