Keenspot also owns Comic Genesis (formerly Keenspace), a free online hosting service for independent cartoonists. It also has branched out into print publishing with several Comic Book s and compilations. It sells a "premium" subscription to Keenspot which allows comics to be read without ads. The company says that it keeps exclusive web publishing rights to its comics, including archives, but that other rights are left with the creators. Side projects, particularly merchandising deals, are covered separately. KeenSpot Entertainment is based in Cresbard, South Dakota . Keenspot has also launched 2 Podcast s, a cartoon podcast, called Keen Toons and an audio podcast called KeenCAST . Keenspot also publishes the Keenspot Comics Page in collaboration with the Turlock Journal and several other small newspapers.
