Kara Ro (born '''Kara Rheault''' on November 9 , 1975 ) is a Canadian Boxer . She is the current Women's International Boxing Association lightweight champion.

Ro has enjoyed an extensive career as an Athlete . As early as the first grade she has received awards for her athleticism. In high school, while maintaining academic excellence, Ro excelled in athletics. She was a member of eight high school teams which included; basketball, volleyball, co-ed volleyball, track and field, tennis, badminton, swimming, and baseball. Ro was awarded M.V.P. in basketball, volleyball, co-ed volleyball, and track and field and was city champion in tennis and triple jump.

Ro was the youngest member elected to the city's All-Star basketball team and won repeated awards as a tournament All-Star in volleyball. Both Ro's achievements and leadership awarded her both the junior and the senior athlete of the year awards. As a university student, Ro played volleyball for the University Of Windsor . Not only was she awarded captain of the team; she was also ranked in the top ten in Canada. After her second year in university, Kara Ro was introduced to boxing. She juggled both volleyball and boxing for two years and then retired her kneepads for a set of hand wraps. After two years in Windsor boxing clubs, Ro began her commute to the land of hardcore boxing, Detroit, Michigan. As well as receiving many outstanding boxer awards in her amateur competitions, Ro won the prestigious Ringside National Tournament. The top athletes from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Jamaica attended. This opportunity also allowed Kara to demonstrate her skills as she easily defeated the number one ranked fighter in the world for her weight class.
