The ''Journal of the American Medical Association'' (usually abbreviated as ''JAMA'') is an international Peer-reviewed general Medical Journal published by the American Medical Association . It has been published continuously since in 1883 48 times per year. ''JAMA'' is the most widely circulated medical journal in the world and is published in multiple international editions and languages; the online version is made freely available to institutions in developing countries.

JAMA's Key Objective is to promote the science and art of medicine and the betterment of the public health.

JAMA's Critical Objectives are:
