Muravchik has been an adjunct professor at the Institute Of World Politics since 1992. He served on the Maryland State Advisory Committee Of The U.S. Commission On Civil Rights from 1985 to 1997 and was a member of the Commission On Broadcasting To The People's Republic Of China in 1992. Additionally, he has been an adjunct scholar at the Washington Institute For Near East Policy since 1986 and was executive director of the Coalition For A Democratic Majority from 1977 to 1979. He is an editorial board member of the Journal s '' World Affairs '' and '' Journal Of Democracy ''.
