Jonathan Mark Foreman (born October 22 , 1976 ) is the Lead Singer and Guitarist of the Alternative Rock band Switchfoot . He writes lyrics for almost all of Switchfoot's songs. One of Switchfoot's and Jon's favorite pastimes is surfing (" Switchfoot " is actually a surfing term). Jon attended UC San Diego , and was on the surf team along with future bandmate, Chad Butler . He was a Thurgood Marshall College student. He currently lives in San Diego, California with his wife, Emily, whom he married in January 2002. Besides being the main Songwriter for Switchfoot, he has also done some work away from the band, including duets with Mandy Moore (for her movie '' A Walk To Remember '' ) and Noise Ratchet . Jon has also contributed to the books ''The Art of Being'' and ''New Way to be Human''. |
