Information About

Johor Jaya

The seven sections were built in phases, starting in 1990:

  • Anggerek

  • Dedap

  • Keembong

  • Seroja

  • Teratai

  • Bakawali

  • Rosmerah

The central commercial area is in Jalan Dedap, and includes the locally popular Lavender cake shop and the Steamboat restaurant. Johor Jaya is administered by the Majlis Perbandaran Johor Bahru Tengah (Central Johor Bahru City Council).

A new food centre, Family Food Centre, was built in 2004 along Jalan Dedap 14. A new neighbouring hypermarket, Jaya Jusco, was built in 2005 along Tebrau Highway. Other neighbouring hypermarkets include Giant in Plentong and Carrefour along Tebrau Highway, just south of Jaya Jusco. The community mosque, Masjid At-Taqwa, is located along Jalan Dedap 1.
