John Worlidge was one of the first British agriculturalists to discuss the importance of Farming as an Industry . In his most notable book, ''Vinetum britannicum'', Worlidge advocated the production of Cider over that of Wine in Great Britain because it was better suited to the Climate and Resources . Worlidge was considered a great expert on Rural Affairs . As well as ''Vinetum Brittannicum'', Worlidge wrote ''Systema Agriculturae'' (1699) on Husbandry , and ''Systema Horticulturae'' (1677) on Gardening . |
