Sir John Harvey ( April 23 , 1778March 22 , 1852 ) was a British army officer and a Lieutenant Governor.

He was an officer during the War Of 1812 .

From 1836 to 1837, he was the Lieutenant Governor Of Prince Edward Island . From 1837 to 1841, he was the Lieutenant Governor Of New Brunswick . From 1841 to 1846, he was the Civil Governor Of Newfoundland And Labrador . From 1846 to 1852, he was the Lieutenant Governor Of Nova Scotia .
