''Jesus of Cool'' was the solo debut album by British Singer-songwriter Nick Lowe after leaving Brinsley Schwarz in 1974. Also produced by Lowe, it was released in March 1978 by Radar Records . In the United States, the album was released under the title ''Pure Pop for Now People'', with one Track , "Shake and Pop", deleted and the songs in a different order than the UK version.
