Jerky Boys

Originally known as "The Subjectivist League", the Jerky Boys officially formed in 1989 and split in 2001 .

TIMELINE

Late 1989 /Early 1990 - The Jerky Boys were formed in Queens , New York .

Summer 1991 - a tape recording of some of the Jerky Boys' early calls is Bootlegged and widely circulated throughout the US.

1992

---Circa 1992 - First appearance in some prank call compilation.

---Late 1992 - The Jerky Boys sign a recording contract with Atlantic Records .

April 1993 - First album '' Jerky Boys '' is released.

July 1994 - '' Jerky Boys 2 '' is released.

1995 - Kamal and Johnny B. and the group take a break after two years of hard work.

--- '' Jerky Boys 2 '' is nominated for the Grammy for Best Comedy Album.

--- The home video '' Don't Hang Up, Tough Guy! '' is released.

--- '' was in theaters and the soundtrack was released.

--- September - ''Jerky Boys: The Movie'' is released on video.

--- Late 1995 - The Jerky Boys sign a new contract to Mercury Records .

August 1996 - '' Jerky Boys 3 '' is released.

October 1997 - '' Jerky Boys 4 '' is released.

May 1999 - '' Stop Staring At Me! '' is released.

Late 2000 / 2001 - The Jerky Boys announce that they would be on hiatus.
