The Jeep Comanche (designated '''MJ''') was a Pickup Truck version of the Cherokee SUV . It was a Unibody vehicle, an oddity for a pickup truck.

Its styling and suspension derived from the Cherokee, the Comanche was offered with a selection of engines including a popular I6 engine found in most 1980s and 1990s Jeeps. Two wheel drive and four wheel drive models were available as well as diferent bed lengths.

The Comanche was sold from 1986 until 1992 , when it was dropped due to low sales, the lack of an extended cab body style and since it competed directly with Chrysler's existing Dodge Dakota .
