Jean Kerr




Kerr, born Bridget Jean Collins to parents Tom and Kitty Collins, grew up on Electric Street in Scranton, and attended Marywood Seminary and received her Bachelor's Degree from Marywood College, just a few blocks away in Scranton. She later attended Catholic University where she received her Masters' Degree and met then-professor '', a short-lived musical comedy about the early days of silent film. She wrote several highly successful plays, including the comedy '' Mary, Mary '', which held the record for the longest-running non-musical play on Broadway .
