He choreographed ''Le Diable boiteux'' 1836 for the Austrian ballerina Fanny Elssler (1810-1884), ''Giselle'' 1841 (for which he is best known), and ''La Peri'' 1843 for the Italian ballerina Carlotta Grisi (1819-1899). |
