The ''Yaeyama'' (八重山) was a small 1,800 tons cruiser of the Imperial Japanese Navy , built in Yokosuka , Japan , in 1889 under the supervision of Emile Bertin . She could reach a speed of 21 knots, was 96 meters long and 10.5 meters wide, with a 5,400 HP engine. |
