HISTORY

The airline was established in 1973 and started operations in 1990 with scheduled flights for its domestic tours division.


INCIDENTS AND ACCIDENTS

  • In 1992 , a plane belonging to Iran Air Tours crashed while landing in Tehran. There were no survivors.

  • , Tehran, to Khoram Dareh when it was involved in a midair collision with an Iranian Air Force Sukhoi Su-22 that was on approach to the same airport. All twelve crew members and 119 passengers were killed.

  • February 12 , 2002 ; Iran Air Tours Tupolev Tu-154 ; Sefid Kouh mountains outside Khorramabad , Iran : The aircraft hit high ground in the mountains with adverse rain, snow and dense fog at the time of the crash. All fifteen crew members and 105 passengers were killed.

Iran Air Tours operates services to the following domestic scheduled destinations (at January , Ahwaz , Bandar Abbas , Chah-Bahar , Isfahan , Khorramabad , Mashad , Rasht , Sary , Shahre-Kord , Shiraz , Tabriz , Tehran , Urmieh , Yazd and Zahedan .

The Iran Air Tours fleet consists of 5 Tupolev Tu-154M aircraft (at January 2005).
