Interstate 169 (abbreviated '''I-169''') is a proposed Interstate Highway in the southern United States . It is a proposed redesignation of Tennessee State Road 22 from U.S. Highway 51 in Union City, Tennessee east to U.S. Highway 45E in Martin, Tennessee . The existing roadway is mostly constructed to Interstate highway standards; however, the interchange with U.S. 51 in Union City is substandard and there are no immediate plans for a direct connection to I-69, which will be located approximately two miles north of the U.S. 51/SR 22 interchange.
