Huntingdon is a Constituency represented in the House Of Commons of the Parliament Of The United Kingdom . It elects one Member Of Parliament (MP) by the First Past The Post system of election. In the 17th century this was Oliver Cromwells parliamentary area. It was abolished in 1918 to re-create Huntingdonshire ; that constituency was renamed, after slight boundary changes, to form the current constituency of Huntingdon.

BOUNDARIES

The constituency consists of the towns of St Neots , Huntingdon , St Ives , Godmanchester and a number of smaller settlements in the south-west part of Cambridgeshire ( East Anglia ), neighbouring Bedfordshire , and Northamptonshire . There were minor boundary changes at the 1983 General Election.
