MINOR LEAGUE CAREER Kendrick was a tenth round draft pick (294th overall) by the Angels out of the 2002 amateur entry draft (June Regular Phase). He hit 10 home runs in the minor leagues with the Single-A affiliate Cedar Rapids Kernels in 2004 , where he compiled 115 hits for a .367 Batting Average . During the 2005 season, Kendrick's batting average hit .384 with 107 hits and .342 with 7 home runs and 42 RBIs in single-A affiliate Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and double-A affiliate Arkansas Travelers . Kendrick, known for his quick wrists in the minors, is a career .359 hitter in 292 Minor League games. He is considered a good Fastball hitter, with good potential against Major League pitching. Kendrick is considered to be a weak fielder but a solid baserunner.
