Homerism is a word to describe the activity of Miming of scenes from one of Homer 's epics. It was common in Greek and Roman era Pagan Festivals , along with other displays of virtuosity such as juggling, acrobatics and trumpet blowing. Homerism also applies to a new Figure Of Speech named after the cartoon character Homer Simpson . It denotes an expression that reveals more than the speaker intended. |
