''Homefront'' was a Television Show that had 42 episodes over two seasons in the United States on ABC from 1991 to 1993 . Set in the 1940s shortly after World War II , the story revolved around three Ohio families. The show suffered from low ratings throughout its run. '' TV Guide '', Abigail Van Buren , and fans showed determination in getting ABC to continue the show for a second season before it was cancelled.
