HISTORY Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories During the first half of Kingdom Hearts, Sora feels a familarity to Hollow Bastion as the result of the influence of Kairi's heart. It would turn out that Kairi was originally from Hollow Bastion, but was sent to the Destiny Islands by Xehanort to confirm the theory that a Princess of Heart could find the Keyblade Master. Hollow Bastion is revealed to be the world where several of the Final Fantasy characters in Traverse Town, along with Cloud Strife in the Olympus Coliseum, came from. The Beast and Belle from Beauty And The Beast appear here. In '''', Sora and Riku wandered in facsimiles of Hollow Bastion based on their memories. Kingdom Hearts II The Hollow Bastion plays a greater role in '' Kingdom Hearts II '' than it had in the previous games. Hollow Bastion is revealed to be the name of the only standing castle after the world's destruction; the world's true name is revealed to be Radiant Garden. Before it became shrouded in darkness, the world had been peaceful and was ruled by Ansem The Wise . In ''Kingdom Hearts II'', it functions like Traverse Town in the first game. This time around in the world, Squall Leonhart (Leon) , Aerith Gainsborough , Cid Highwind , Yuffie Kisaragi , Merlin and others are attempting to rebuild the town. When Sora and company arrive, they are asked by Cid to help in the redevelopment. There is a computer in the world also that contains the world of "Space Paranoids"; the computer realm of '' Tron ''. In the middle of the game, the world will come under attack by the Organization XIII , which results in one of the most dramatic scenes in the game and a massive battle with an army of Heartless (known as the War Sequence). Cloud's side story involving light and dark takes place in Radiant Garden and leads to a climatic fight against Sephiroth (who is actually the embodiment of Cloud's darkness), with the help of Tifa Lockhart , as well as Sora, Donald, and Goofy. Space Paranoids This world is modeled after the movie '' Tron ''. Though Space Paranoids was created by Ansem the Wise using aspects from ENCOM (the computer company from the Tron movie), it seems the MCP was the only program rebooted by Xehanort . 100 Acre Wood As in ''Kingdom Hearts'', Merlin is in possession of the storybook of Winnie the Pooh. He summons Sora, Donald, and Goofy to his hut in Hollow Bastion to show it to them. Soon after, Sora goes inside the book to visit Pooh, but as soon as he speaks with him, Sora is repelled out of it. This leads into a battle outside of Merlin's hut, were the Heartless try to steal the book, but are quickly defeated. Sora checks the book and sees that most of its pages are missing. This also causes Pooh to lose his memory and refers to Sora as "Somebody-I-Don't-Know". Now, Sora must find all of the pages (much like in the first game) and help Pooh regain his memory. |
