The variously defined region includes the prefectures of Toyama , Ishikawa and Fukui , and may include Niigata Prefecture as well. In the former case, Niigata Prefecture and Nagano Prefecture form the Shinetsu region and together with Hokuriku region comprise Hoku-shin'etsu (literally North Shin'etsu). |
