Henry Paget, 2nd Marquess Of Anglesey




Lord Anglesey was M.P. (Whig) for Anglesey between 1820 and 1832 and State Steward to the Lord Lieutenant Of Ireland between 1828 and 1829. He was also a Lord-in-Waiting to Queen Victoria between 1837 and 1839 and invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1839. Lord Anglesey was later Lord Chamberlain between 1839 and 1841 and Lord Lieutenant Of Anglesey between 1854 and 1869.

He married, firstly, Eleanora Campbell, grand-daughter of John Campbell, 5th Duke Of Argyll , on 5 August 1819 . They had three children:
