ALTADOR (TALADOR) The city on the other side of Neopia is called Altador. Altador is easily viewable from Neopia's moon Kreludor {Link without Title} . It is a Greek/Roman inspired city. Not much is known about Altador, but it is known that the Darkest Faerie tried to take over Altador 1000 years ago, only to be put under a curse and thrown into the ocean. You can see her in Maraqua. Proof of its existence can be found on the Neopets Trading Cards Siyana of Talador and Jerdana. The Neopets Trading Card Game set 'The Darkest Faerie' reveals that its crest is a yellow and orange sun. Altador is ruled by 12 protectors, each having their own constellation. For more information, see . Altador was originally called Talador, but was changed to Altador by Queen Fyora to be protected from The Darkest Faerie. As of March 1 , 2006 , Altador has finally appeared, although it is much harder to get to and has not appeared on the main Neopets map. Some members are annoyed as they were expecting a widely sought-after 'Other Side' of Neopia; this absence has left some members bored. Altador itself has been subject to a degree of controversy as all it consists of at the moment is four shops, with no games or features to be seen. Many agree the big buildup was not worth it. As of now, one place to find Altador is a Portal-Entrance in Faerie City on the Faerie castle created by Queen Fyora. {Link without Title} Since the Neopedia article on Altador, there has been a 'Hall of Heroes', containing statues of the 12 Protectors. There is a small quest in which it is in. Many fan sites now host plot guides. {Link without Title} . At the beginning, it all started when the two Neopets found that portal. In the Hall of Heroes there is a janitor who, as an in-joke uses the same chracter design of the Lost Desert Foreman. Each week, The Neopets Team releases another part of the plot to follow. FAERIELAND Faerieland is one of the fantasy worlds. It consists of two areas, Faerieland and Faerie City. It is the home many famous Neopians, including the Faerie Queen, Fyora, who sells powerful, expensive items from a Hidden Tower in Faerie City as well as ruling wisely over the city, and the Dark Faerie Jhudora, who lives on a cloud outside of the city, and gives out prizes in return for quests. Most Neopians know that she is evil, but she is so careful when concealing part of an abandoned plot {Link without Title} , though there was a rumor that, afterwards, one's Neopets have a better chance of being cured of disease at the Healing Springs. Faerieland has never had a plot attached to it, though it did play a large part in NeoQuest II, as the final Act. There, Queen Fyora had been captured and imprisoned by a giant Draik named King Terask, and needed to be saved by the players' characters, Rohane, Mipsy, Talinia, and Velm. The Faerie Queen will also play a role in the upcoming video game and plot, as the one who banished The Darkest Faerie in the first place, though it is uncertain whether or not Faerieland itself will be a major setting. | ||
