GEOGRAPHY Greenville is located at 39°46'30" North, 75°35'48" West (39.774879, -75.596619). According to the United States Census Bureau , the CDP has a total area of 7.1 Km&2 (2.8 Mi&2 ). 7.1 km&2 (2.7 mi&2) of it is land and 0.1 km&2 (0.04 mi&2) of it is water. The total area is 0.73% water. DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census of 2000, there were 2,332 people, 1,190 households, and 679 families residing in the CDP. The Population Density was 328.6/km&2 (852.4/mi&2). There were 1,329 housing units at an average density of 187.3/km&2 (485.8/mi&2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 91.51% White , 2.02% African American , 0.13% Native American , 4.89% Asian , 0.04% Pacific Islander , 0.64% from Other Races , and 0.77% from two or more races. 2.36% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 1,190 households out of which 17.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.8% were Married Couples living together, 3.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 42.9% were non-families. 38.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 17.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 1.96 and the average family size was 2.57. In the CDP the population was spread out with 15.4% under the age of 18, 4.0% from 18 to 24, 25.9% from 25 to 44, 29.0% from 45 to 64, and 25.7% who were 65 years of age or older.
