The site of its municipal council is the town of Buddinge. Other towns in the municipality are Gladsaxe, Søborg, Bagsværd, and Mørkhøj, with towns butting up to each other in an Urban Sprawl . Neighboring municipalities are Gentofte to the east, Lyngby-Taarbæk to the north, Værløse and Herlev to the west, and Copenhagen to the south. Gladsaxe municipality will not be merged with other municipalities by January 1 , 2007 as the result of nationwide ''Kommunalreformen'' ("The Municipality Reform" Of 2007) .
