Outside of opera Tozzi garnered fame as the voice of Emile De Becque in the film version of '' South Pacific '' and in 1980 earned a Tony Award nomination for best leading actor in a musical for his work as Tony in '' The Most Happy Fella ''. He is also a published author with his novel ''The Golem of the Golden West'' having been published in 1992. He is currently a distinguished professor of voice at the Indiana University Jacobs School Of Music . |
