TODAY

The Georgia Railroad fell under common management with the Atlanta And West Point Railroad and the Western Railway Of Alabama . These were later merged with the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad , the Louisville And Nashville Railroad and the Clinchfield Railroad to form the Family Lines System . This later was renamed Seaboard System Railroad , and in 1986 merged with Chessie System to form CSX Transportation .
